Decisions are communicated approximately six weeks after each deadline. All applications are evaluated equally; there's no disadvantage in choosing the deadline that works best for you.

Honors Course Progression

With an emphasis on scholarly inquiry, the Honors College is fully integrated into your existing degree plan, and doesn’t require additional credit hours beyond your major. Instead, it enhances your education through a thoughtfully designed sequence of courses that encourage you to “think big.” Each stage of the program builds on the last, with opportunities to collaborate across disciplines, conduct original research, and develop a capstone project that reflects your academic journey and ambitions.

Who Should Apply to the Honors College?

Honors students are more than just high achievers; they embrace challenges, thrive on collaboration, and understand that success is built through community. At FSC, Honors students are part of a supportive cohort that encourages growth, discovery, and the pursuit of purpose.

To apply to the Honors College, students must:

  • Have at least a 3.5 weighted GPA
  • Complete the Honors application and share your interest and what you hope to gain through your participation.
  • In the application, share at least three markers of excellence* from the following areas.

* You are not required to have one from each section, just three from the overall list
