Studying abroad is one of the most powerful ways to expand your perspective, deepen your learning, and prepare for life after college. At Florida Southern, global experiences are a meaningful part of your education, not just a bonus.
Whether you're still exploring your options or already have a destination in mind, the Office of Student Travel is here to help. You can choose from Florida Southern's own Junior Journey programs, short-term, faculty-led trips that combine academics with immersive travel, or participate in longer-term experiences through our international partners. Wherever you go, you'll gain skills, memories, and insights that will last a lifetime.
What’s Covered?
When considering Junior Journey options, it’s helpful to compare fees and consider what is included in the total price. For most Junior Journeys, the cost typically includes:
- Full-service transportation, door to door from Florida Southern to your final destination and back again.
- All lodging, including on-campus housing prior to trip and throughout your travels.
- All meals.
- If you would like to purchase souvenirs, additional meals or your trip allows free time for outside excursions, these are at your own expense.
Getting Started!
Now’s a great time to get a jump on your travel plans by making sure your passport is ready. You’ll need one that’s valid for at least six months beyond the return date of your intended trip. If you need to apply for a new passport or renew an existing one, visit the official U.S. Passport website to get started.
What's Required?
To participate in a student travel program at Florida Southern, you must have:
- A cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
- A clear business office and student accountability record.
- Apply on-line when the FSC Portal opens to complete a travel application.
- Submit valid documents, pay deposit once instructed by Office of Student Travel.
How to Apply
Attention FSC Juniors and Seniors! If you're in your 4th semester or higher (or 3rd+ as a transfer), you may be eligible for Fall 2026 travel! Apply today to ensure you can get your Junior Journey in before you graduate.
Junior Journey trip application is accomplished through the travel tab on the student portal, where you will choose which study abroad trip you wish to apply for. Check out our Sign-Up Guide for more information about the application process.
